Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)

Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD for short) is an incredibly effective therapy for people who suffer with Lymphedema (painful swelling of the arms, legs, hands, feet) particularly after breast or other cancers, especially if you have had lymph nodes removed. There are other causes of this condition of course and RLD works really well for all of them, getting visible, measurable results. It also greatly reduces Fibromyalgia pain and is good for Multiple Sclerosis and a whole host of other conditions including Chronic Fatigue, sinus problems, migraines, pre-menstrual syndrome, M.E., arthritis, asthma and eczema. I have also had success with gout.  There are links to the research that is being done and more information here.

The following is a picture of a lady suffering from an attack of gout. In the first picture the entire foot and ankle is swollen and inflamed, there is much redness and heat around the big toe. The second picture is after one treatment – the inflammation is considerably reduced, the redness has all but disappeared and the area around the big toe is now only slightly warm rather than hot. The toes are thinner and the top of the foot and ankle is back to it’s normal size and shape. Most importantly, the client reported that the pain had completely gone.

The next picture is of a lady who has an autoimmune condition affecting her liver, which causes her hands, arms, legs and feet to swell up. She also experiences swelling in her face, and around her shoulder blades above the bra line. The first picture is of her hands before her treatment – the next two are after. She also reported the swelling in her back had gone down, her eyes and face were less puffy, and she was very surprised to have been able to slip easily into her shoes after the treatment – they actually felt a bit too loose and she was glad she didn’t have to walk home!

Research has shown that there is a dramtic drop in tha amount of fluid after the first treatment, and then with further treatments the swelling lessens more gradually. Many report feeling normal again, and who could wish for more than that! This treatment not only reduces physical symptoms but also improves well-being generally as clients report being able to wear nice shoes again, to not feeling embarrassed about their swollen arm(s) and being able to fit into their usual clothes again. Not to mention the fantastic pain reduction that comes with relief from this painful condition and many of the conditions mentioned above.
